If you put five magicians in a room you’ll likely get ten thoughts–at the very least!–as to how magick works. What follows is only one thought. Is it the “right” one? You will have to discover that for yourself.
To explain this I start off with a description that is grotesque. Imagine someone cut your arm off. Yes, naturally. How about if I cut off your arms and legs. What about if I managed to keep your brain alive while I cut off your body? How Magick Works: Creating a Magic Talisman

Yes, it is kind of gross, but the point is that you are more than your physical body and brain. What, then, makes you you,? Something else. But where is that something else? It’s clearly not physical. Consequently, where that something exists must additionally be found in a non-physical position.

You’ve probably heard of having an astral body. The matter is, you (and everyone else and everything) do not have an astral body because you have a physical body. Instead, you develop a physical body because you’ve got an astral body. Things that exist on the astral plane eventually must show on the physical plane. Somehow, the essence of what’s you is created on the astral plane (that happens is another discussion) and must become physical. One way to reach the astral plane is through visualization. One’ve already written at the ending of this previous place about visualization, and I’d encourage you to read it. Yet, for our purposes here, it may be better to say that the physical world is fundamentally worked with by the aware mind and the subconscious mind essentially works with the astral world. So, we desire to use the unconscious mind by embedding it with, in this scenario, the sigil “RglxcsThmWk.” But wait, what does that mean? Do you recall? I have presented some theory and philosophy to perplex and lead your conscious head away from significance. But your unconscious mind recalls! By just looking at it so if you don’t actively recall what it means–you will be programming your unconscious.
